It mimics the feelings of so many young adults entering a world stacked against them. Burdened with college debt, high-cost of living, and exorbitant health expenses, many are struggling to manage expectations that are no longer possible.

“Self Destruction” focuses on the way that humanity is self-destructive. Humanity today is forced to sit back and watch as capitalism destroys both the body and mind while pushing the climate to the brink of humanities extinction. The next generation experiences the world as complicit victims in their own demise while being powerless to stop it.
Don’t Look Me in My Eyes (2023)

“Don’t Look Me in My Eyes” is an experimental project the artist is working on merging individuals with aquatic life. In the wild, color can be used to allure and attract, typically with the indication of mating. With a sultry look and a low-cut top there is so much more to look at than this individual’s eyes. For some, surface level features can be easier to deal with than grappling with actual personhood.

“Am I Sexy Yet?” depicts a giant, desperate fish vying for the attention of her human viewers with a massive, sexy booty. It echoes the reality that human women in our society are conditioned to constantly put themselves on display for the male gaze. Primping and preening in ways that are ludicrous and sometimes even drastic and dangerous.
Drowned (2022)

“Drowned” depicts the impending wave of financial crisis always headed for the younger generation. As the cost of housing continues to rise out of grasp of those just entering the workforce many are forced to rent with no hope of ever achieving the American dream of owning their own house. High rental prices burden the younger generation and prevent them from living stable safe lives.
Hinged (2021)

“Hinged” is based on David Hockney’s painting of Peter Schlesinger and calls into question whether the meaning of art has to be obvious, and if art can be powerful enough elevate individual’s identities even while seeming simple. The title “Hinged” is a play on words for the idea of being a hinge in a gay poly relationship, and continues the discussion of queer identity in art. In a world where personal rights seem to be set back, this piece focuses instead of changing identities and evolution being made in the LGBTQ space.

“Hold On” represents holding on to moments in time. The depiction of plants within the painting contradicts the ability to hold on and symbolize the inevitability of progression and transformation. This artwork prompts the observer to contemplate their approach to embracing the constantly evolving world surrounding them, and how they must adapt to the inevitable environmental turmoil.

”Don’t be a Pussy” is a feminist figure painting that acts as a reclamation of both the female body and the phrase "Don't be a Pussy" that is so often used with condescension and sexism. Flowers and pink, usually representing softness and femininity, are used in a bold and uncompromising way. The head acts as a visual metaphor, a combination of a pansy and a lion, for the word "pussy" itself. It aims to paint the female body in a light that is strong, bold, and powerful.
